I frequently receive messages asking where I shop for my four-year-old, Addilyn, and Beckett, 2. So today, I thought I would chat a little bit about kids’ style. In partnership with Marshalls, I’ve created some fun summer looks for kids, and I’m here to tell you why Marshalls is one of my favourite places to shop!

What I specifically love about Marshalls is that I am able to find so many different amazing brands and designers all in one spot. For all of you mamas: You know it is a shopping lifesaver to not have to cart the kids around to multiple stores. And this means you’ll have more time for tackling those endless to-do lists.

The other great thing about Marshalls is that I can always find designer brands for way less. I mean, who doesn’t love a deal? For example, Beckett’s cute sneakers are Polo Ralph Lauren, and I scored them for only $30—that’s such a steal. He loves them because he can do them up himself (he’s been on a whole “I do it by myself” kick, and apparently my help is not required as often).

When it comes to dressing both of my kids for summertime, I definitely need their clothing to be versatile and comfortable because of how active they are. For Addi, I always gravitate toward a more boho-chic style, because not only is that how I mostly dress myself, but I also love how light and airy the materials and fit are. That’s why I got her a darling embroidered top, which was only $25 (with the shorts), and perforated sandals (also $25). She loves dresses, but for days when we go to the park or she’s out and about, shorts and a cute top are the perfect pairing. I also love a good neutral sandal because they can go with everything—she will be able to wear them with dresses, shorts and jeans. The zippers at the backs of the shoes make them easy for her to put on herself, too. I typically ensure Addi also has a few pairs of denim or chambray shorts, since they’re perfect for pairing with tees and tanks all summer long.

For Beckett, let’s just say I stick to basics. Simple tees and shorts are my go-tos. I always stock up on plain tops that can endure days of playing outside, eating Popsicles and digging in the dirt. Dark shorts like these are great because they don’t stain as easily and can hide more evidence of late summer evening ice cream spills. I also like to buy him comfortable shoes—both sneakers and sandals—that he can easily run and bike in, because he’s such a busy boy!

What I love about both of the kids’ outfits is that they are sets, which is so nice because they can be paired together but also worn separately with other items in their closets. Also, it’s nice to just buy an outfit that’s already put together for you, and each one was under $60.

Shopping at Marshalls is so efficient and easy. I totally guarantee you will find some amazing summer gems for your kids (and yourself) each time you go!
